.htacess issue

Hi All,

This is out landing blog, Yesterday I got an error of 500 internal error and after some reading one of the cause could be plugins and .htacess. Hence I deactivated all my plugins on the network and renamed the htacess. yes that error disappeared and sites started loading only thing no images.

So back to more reading and troubleshooting, So now my colleague who handles is in Vacation around serengeti and not much communication for another 10-14 days hence I have to figure it out.

So now I renamed and saved the permalinks so it can regenerate the htacess. after an hour no luck on the regeneration of htacess.

At this point confused and would appreciate some guidance as the school is highly dependent on the blogs

How do i make sure it creates automatically ?
