HTML code shows on index and other pages

    RHEL 6.6 VM
    New installation. No Themes added, no plugins added, just followed the 5 minute install, then the detailed install.
    LAMP install, default.
    I’ve tried multiple installs, I either get the White Screen of Death or the .PHP pages show up as HTML code.
    I CAN get the Apache test page to show up.
    Is this a closed PORT issue?
    There are SOOO many of this type of issue on the forum, It’s a overwhelming. I’ve renamed .htaccess, etc…

    Also, Renamed index.html so index.php is the default. No change. Cleared browser cache, no change.

    I deleted all WordPress directories and files I could find.
    Rebooted the server and reinstalled WordPress.
    Everything appears to be working fine.
