The plugin is working great but the only problem I have been facing since the beginning is that all the wordpress core Emails are either plain texts or HTML codes. (I am using the Version 1.7.1)

I have been using Kadence WooCommerce Email Designer for WooCommerce Emails and they are working fine. Earlier the plugin was not sending the woocommerce test emails but your new update (Version 1.7.1) has completely fixed the problem. Thank you so much for the update.
However, I’ve tried multiple plugins for HTML formating of core Emails and they all are sending plain texts.
Currently, I am testing Better Notifications for WP. When I send testing email say for “password reset” from the plugin it is in the HTML as visible in the following image.
    HTML Test Email
But when wordpress send password reset Email to a user the same Email has only the HTML codes as visible in the following image.
    Actual Email

All other plugins were sending the plain text whether it is a test email or actual wordpress core email.

Would you please tell me what is causing this issue? Is that plugin compatibility or some settings?

  • @agamashish I am also using woocommerce and Kadence WooCommerce Email Designer and I haven’t seen any issues yet.

@dyin Yes, woocommerce emails are working fine. It’s the HTML code in Email issue I was talking about.

So html emails appear as html rather than text emails (i.e. without the tags) for woocommerce and other contact form plugins such as Contact Form 7. Hence I’m pretty sure my plugin is set to handle any HTML email. I suspect this is due to how the designer plugin is modifying the headers, or where it applies the template in the wp_mail call. However, I can’t work out how the designer plugin is modifying the emails, so this maybe something I can’t support I’m afraid.

Yeah, all non-core Emails like Woocommerce and Contact Form 7 are working fine. It’s just the core Emails that are either plain text or HTML codes. I have tried almost every top Email template plugin and none of them are working with HTML. They are either sending plain text or HTML codes.
Someone also facing the same issue reported on previous support topic a few days back. https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/office-365-send-html-source-code/

Could you please check on your end if any of the Email template plugins is causing the same issue that I am facing?
It will confirm whether I am the only one who is facing this issue.

Hi, just to clarify, you’re only getting HTML tags appear in core emails that you’ve tried to modify with the customisation plugin? If you remove the customisation, the emails appear fine? Hence I need to examine the code of the customisation plugin to see what it’s doing and try and work out how it’s applying the customisation to see if it’s possible to address with a change to my plugin’s code (which it may not be)?

It is no longer an issue for me, as my mostly Emails are now related to woocommerce and those are working great.

Thank you for your time and support.
