HTML coding not appearing when making new pages

  • Hello. I’m using the latest wordpress and I’m making pages to post more permanent work on my site, however certain tags will not stay up as I want them to.

    Creating <BR> and new paragraphs, using the Visual or the Code editor when editing my new page will eventually take out the breaks and such that I wanted.

    Why can’t they just let me have an extra space or line in my text? I can’t even make a new paragraph, it just lumps it all together unless I do a <HR> tag.

  • Turn off the wysiwyg (users > your profile) and it should work.
    Switching between visual/code – does NOT work.
