    Hi there,

We have installed and activated the Yoast SEO plugin on our WordPress website. While it has improved our SEO performance, we are facing an issue on some pages where <br> and <p> tags are being automatically added to HTML elements. We have tested multiple cases on our site, and the issue only arises when the Yoast SEO plugin is activated. When we deactivate the plugin, the issue is resolved. We attached a screenshot of the issue for your reference. Hope you’ve encountered this issue before and have a solution. Please share it with us, as it would be very helpful.

    Thank you.

    Hi @gurusaran

Kindly check theme conflict on your site.

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

Kindly check if you see the <br> and <p> tags area added when only Yoast SEO is activated with a default theme like Twenty Twenty-Two in troubleshooting mode.
