HTML Email not stripping signature

  • In my email I have a block at the end

    William
    333-444-5555
    —
    Door Code 44444#

    that I want the door code to be removed from the website post, but included in the email.

    What I am seeing is the ‘–‘ are being stripped but the following door code line is not being stripped.

    Here is the code that is left in the post.

    When I process the email as plain text, it works fine. The problem only occurs when processing the email as html.

    Running 1.7.5 (most current release) and same problem with previous release.

    Here is what is in the email as you sent it.

    <b class="">--<br>              Door Code 3060.<br>              everything below the double dash should be deleted as a signature<br>              thanks for the assist<br>            </b>

    Since the signature block doesn’t start in the standard way you need to use the “Text for Message End” setting. Put "--<br>" (without the quotes) into that setting.
