• I am using WordPress straight out of the box.. (not installed on a separate server). I have had trouble with text widgets properly executing HTML code or JavaScripts, even though it is said that they should :

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Plugins/WordPress_Widgets#Using_Text_Widgets

The Last.fm javascript for instance, worked beautifully on my blogger sidebar but comes out as code in plain text when copied and pasted into a Text widget.

Actually, even a super duper simple piece of code would not show up properly. Implementing these guidelines did not work :
    https://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/23/put-your-feed-in-your-sidebar/
(and no I did not copy & paste literally like a dumbass)

    Am i missing something ?

My blog is here and I am using the Freshy theme. I have also tried with the Kubrick theme (which seems to be the recommended, Bauhaus-style one) and a few others and still ran into the same problem, so i doubt it is the issue.

    Any help gladly appreciated.

    Best,
    El Ni?o

  • Can’t believe nobody replied to this post. Well I also want to know. I’m trying just to copy and paste simple html code in the text widget but it’s not working.
