HTML links break the accordion

The plug in has been working great so far ?? The only problem my team came across with it is that html links breaks the accordions function.
For instance:
[efitems title="TITLE HERE" text=" TEXT HERE, <a href="SRC">click here to view it.</a> "]the accordion then refuses to open.
