    Hello,

I was looking to add Merge Tags to the HTML field for a summary for user’s and found your original plugin (https://github.com/csalzano/gravityforms-html-fields-merge-tags) which lead me here.

After activating this plugin the Merge Tags are showing up empty now compared to {What kind of pet do you have?:1} but the value is not appearing either.

Is there something I need to do differently?

    Thank you!

Thanks for trying my plugin! Can you provide an export of the form so I can try to reproduce the problem?

    Try adding a page break

The merge tag should be on a page after the field appears. If your field, “What kind of pet do you have?” is on page one of the form, the HTML field containing the merge tag {What kind of pet do you have?:1} should be on page two or any page after one.

I haven’t heard back. Are you still having this problem?

    Hi Corey,

Thank you for the follow-up, and apologies for the delay. Due to the form requirements, we couldn’t have a page break, so we just used JS with the gform_input_change listener.

    Thank you very much!

Glad you found a solution. I’ll update the plugin to provide instructions around the need for a page break.
