HTML not altered

  • Hello,

    i’ve installed WebP Express. The changes to the .htaccess were applied and I checked the option to alter HTML img with picture tags.

    But in the frontend nothing happens. The img isn’t replaced by the picture tag and the webp-images are not embedded.

    Within the webp-express folder .webp images are generated.

    Do I have to put something to the code of my theme?

  • ^ I am having the same issue. I’ve just run the bulk compressor for hours, and it went through successfully. Also when I check google pagespeed insights and the hummingbird plugin diagnostics they aren’t registering Webp at all.

    I got mine working when I turned off Wordfence Security. Still playing with it as I’m not such a fan having that plugin turned off
