.html redirection regex
-
Hi John,
Please can you clarify for me how I should enter the following regex within redirection dashboard, as I’m confused by the redirection suggestions.
If I enter
(.*)\.html$
in the regex101 tester, it appears to work OK with no errors:https://www.dropbox.com/s/qcinu83ipcgczp9/regex101-passed.jpg?dl=0
If I take that regex and add a new rule in redirection, then it suggests that I should add a /:

If I then check that in regex101 it errors. I also tried adding ^ to avoid infinite redirects as suggested in the help file but this also errors:

Please can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thank you for your help.
Michael.
