    Hello,
I just installed WordPress and have never used it before. I’ve viewed some tutorials and am playing around with it. I noticed there is no HTML tab like the tutorials describe. I am a web designer and would like to be able to write my own code in WordPress. Without this tab, I don’t know how I would do this. There is a visual tab and text tab, but the text tab will not allow HTML code. Why is this tab missing from this version?
    Thank you.

The HTML tab was renamed “TEXT” in WP3.5 – so yes, that is the place to write code. But be aware that switching between Visual and Text is problematic (known issue), so if you’re having problems entering code, that may be why.

Yes, thank you. I can’t switch between visual and text or it will change around all of the code. I saved the page and previewed it without going to the visual tab and it worked fine.

Yep – it’s a known problem – best thing is just to avoid it or save the page first and then switch.
