HTML tab in Writing unclickable: HTML appears in Visual tab

Also, something I noticed in this installation was that the php databases didn’t need to be upgraded? I was not prompted to upgrade my wordpress after uploading the new files via ftp.

Are you sure all files were uploaded? A friend had a similar sort of problem and it turned out that not files were uploaded during the installation.

Yeah, I did re-uploaded all the files per the detailed upgrade walkthrough twice, preserving only my themes, plugins, htaccess, and wp-config. I’ll try again later tonight, but I don’t think that’s the problem. Thanks for the response.

I am using PHP5.

The problem persists when all problems are deactivated, and also between IE and Firefox.

Reverting back to 2.6 for the time being, problem solved.

We are experiencing the same problem. After clicking on “write a page” or “write a post” on the dashboard, the post text entry area has two tabs: “Visual” and “HTML”. “Visual” is selected. “HTML” can be clicked on, but now nothing happens when you do so.

This is after upgrading from 2.6.4 to 2.6.5.

Plugins are:
Statpress 1.2.9.2
Popularity contest 1.2.1
Akismet 2.2.2

The problem occurs in both IE 7 and firefox 3.

I just upgraded to 2.7-RC1 and the problem still persists. Is this a known issue?

It works for me now in WP 2.7 release.

I was having the same issue and disabling Kimili did the trick. If, however, you use a lot of Flash content, this won’t be terribly helpful. It looks like the author of the plugin is aware of the problem and and updated plugin is available for download: https://kimili.com/journal/kimili-flash-embed-20-preview-the-wordpress-edition
I’ve just installed it and it seems to be working fine (at least within the editor). We’ll see how my posts look ??
