• Erm, so I’m getting really pissed because for some reason, WP refuses to close the HTML tags I make within a post. I did the bold and the link tag in a post (which I deleted because it bolded all the entries after it) and closed it, but it appeared as if it wasn’t closed. I don’t know what’s wrong because I was able to do it before, but after my host’s server died, they did a full OS reload (whatever the heck that means) and now I’m having this problem. Er any idea why WP is doing this and how to fix it?

  • Try putting a carriage return after your closing links when inputting your entries ?
There’s an oddity with an image alignment hack which means that even if you close a </div> if there is text on that same line in the entry, some sort of tag carries over. Putting entry text on a separate line stops this.
Otherwise, I’d suggest doing a few test posts to see if you can narrow the error down to any particular tags.
Also, is there any change in this behaviour if tags are inserted using the quicktags, or when you enter them manually ?
If you do see differences, a link to a post on your site illustrating this would be useful.
