HTML text fails to show up on Site

  • Hi there !
    WE have added a HTML in a text under sidebar 2 – but it fails to show up on the page.
    When we added it some months ago, it was OK – but suddenly it just vanished.Instead came a box with various tag key words….

    We have other similar HTML texts (like the Facebook badge) – this did not disappear…

    Recently we tried to add another HTML text(also with banner) in the backoffice under widgets- it did not show either when we visited the Site.

    Any suggestion about what might have happened and what we can do ?

  • That really depends upon what HTML markup you added.

    Thank you very much for your help !

    We are PC-newbies – and do not know so much about HTML …what is a markup?

    We received the HTML-codes from outside and just pasted them into
    a text widget in the back-office, under Sidebar 2.

    Are you using caching plugin? WPCache, SuperCache? You may need to clear the cache if so.

    We have 3 plugins:

    Akismet
    Only-Wire
    and WordPress Automatic upgrade

    Are any of those cache ???
    And if they are – how do we clear them ?
