HTTP 403: “You are over the quota limit”

    Hi,

    Today I logged into my WP dashboard for the first time in over a month and the ExactMetrics dashboard widget and the Reports page both simply say “The API returned a 403 response with this message: You are over the quota limit. Please try again tomorrow”

    What does this mean, and how do I fix it?

    Hi there,
    There’s a glitch in Google’s API that they’re working on causing the issue.

    It should be resolved shortly (they didn’t give us an eta), but it sounded like they have a fix that they’re working on deploying out to their API servers.

    As an update, they’ve confirmed the fix is rolling out across their servers. It might take a bit for it to get to every server but its coming.

    If we see this error on the back-end, does this also mean that website visits are not being counted on the corresponding analytics properties?

    Hi, shouldn’t it be fixed by now? The error now appears for me too.

    It is fixed, it does not affect the frontend counting. It occurs simply when Google’s API for reporting which is used to make the backend reports has issues
