• Hi there, this error isn’t replicateable across the board, however it’s been there for months (for multiple users). When using Chrome we get the error stated above.

I talked to our domain provider multiple times and he said it’s due to the header being to big/long/…

When I press cmd+J to enter the console and then go to “network” and reload the page I get one line in red for a split second.

It says it failed to load a document (which sounds weird). The name of the doc is the domain. After half a second the red line disappears.

I tried to screenshot it, but it goes to quick.

Anyone got a solution for this (I already tried to switch themes, delete and update plugins as well as emptying my cache)?

I saw a page saying that deleting cookies fixed it in Chrome, so Chrome may be storing/sending things that other browsers are not. (?) Cookies are part of the header.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I tried deleting cookies, emptying the cache and so on. Unfortunately no effect.

    Hey,

    Okay Everyone,

I have been having the same problem for months now. Going round and round with Hosting company saying the same thing about header being too long. We walked through numerous options to fix the problem, including deleting cookies on the back end of Google Chrome. That would work for awhile then, 431 strikes again. They tried everything on their end and unable to replicate the problem.

I can open Google Chrome under another account and access the website dashboard, but not sure how long this will last. I NEED TO UPDATE MY WEBSITE without it crashing.

The Hosting provider (Hostgator) could not fix the problem. I am unable to find any help online at this point. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

Should I reset the Google Chrome Browser for that particular account?

    HELP!
    Regina

    P.S.
    * I am on the latest version of WordPress 5.3
    * All plug-ins are up-to-date
    * Google Chrome is the Browser I am currently experiencing the problem (but not on all accounts
    * Windows 10 is the operating system
