    Hi Guys,

    SOS, so i was trying remove a meta tag on the functions.php and as i was trying to update some error occured. Since then I’m unable to access the site or any admin page including the admin cpanel. Please help. I’m not familiar with these things. Was following sipport instructions.

  • Try switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    I’m unable to open the admin page as well. Everything is giving me an error

    I try the open the wp-admin page I’m getting the below error

    HTTP ERROR 500

    Please try re-reading my post above. The suggestion I made does not require you to login to your WordPress dashboard.

    Thank you so so much. I finally accessed the functions.php file through my cpanel and reversed the edit i tried to make and the site is back on.

    Thanks for all the help and apologize as I’m a true amateur and quite clueless about this.
