I wanted to change the URL for my wordpress. Instead of looking up the how-to I stupidly logged into the admin panel, and attempted to do it myself.
I changed it in the wrong place, and now I can’t get into the admin panel to change it back, here is what I see: https://screencast.com/t/8XUnGAty06
and when I log in I get this:

I need to revert the changes that I made, and get back into the admin panel. Any help would be appreciated.

I tried these, and they don’t seem to work. I’m completely new to this, so I might be missing something. If there are any more basic instructions that would really help!

I changed it in the wrong place…

Where exactly did you change the URL?

Those instructions are as good and simple as it gets.

If you can’t do the work yourself, consider looking for a reputable person to fix it correctly on freelancing sites such as Elance. (It’s not a good idea to respond to unsolicited emails from forum users offering to work for you.)

I changed the wordpress address URL in the admin panel.

Like I said, I am new to this and am no where near a cmd line or code specialist, so the more basic the instructions the better.

The recovery instructions don’t get any easier than at the link I posted above. Read them.

    calaimo,
There is a lot to read on that page. I can imagine it might look scary. I would try the section on Changing the URL directly in the database.

OMG it worked! Thank you so much for your help

    Hi Guys,

I have the same problem. I have checked the domain and home section in the database and they are both set up to https://www.eleventhhourweddings.ie, so I don’t know why I keep getting the same error: “The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.”

Here is the link to that:
    https://www.eleventhhourweddings.ie/wp-admin.php

    Any ideas?
