    Greetings,

In another thread, @rafizsejim mentioned that you are having difficulties with your database server. I am checking in to see if the issues have been resolved as we continue to receive the HTTP Error 500 “This page isn’t working” while accessing pages in our Directory. The errors only occur on Directorist related pages. Sometimes, we are able to view the main page of the directory and the individual listings fine. At other times, we receive the error. When we try clicking the numbered pagination links we receive the 500 error and when we utilize the search/filter we receive the error as well.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

    Hello Christine,

Thank you for reaching us out.

The database server issue has no relevance to the HTTP 500 error. 500 internal server error often transpires due to the PHP Memory Limit. Increasing the limit usually resolves the issue. Please increase the PHP Memory Limit, you can also reach out to your hosting provider and request them to increase.

It can also be a plugin conflict. You can use “Health Check Plugin”, the Health Check plugin can aid you in the conflict test without impacting any site visitors. Download and install the plugin. Activate it and navigate to Tools > Site Health and do the following

If you see errors on the ‘Status’ or ‘Info’ tabs, please resolve the issues before continuing
Click on the ‘Troubleshooting’ tab, check the warning information, and hit ‘Enter Troubleshooting Mode’.
Troubleshooting mode will automatically deactivate the plugins and activate the default theme (This won’t affect users)
Leave only the “Directorist” activate and check if the issue persists.
Activate plugins one by one to detect which plugin is causing the 500 error
Let us know the test results, we will be happy to assist.

    Hello @rafizsejim,

Thank you for your response and for clarifying that the database server wasn’t related to the HTTP 500 error. Our PHP Memory Limit has been increased and the pages seem to be loading fine now.

    I appreciate your assistance.
