HTTP error when uploading images

Developing a site on GoDaddy WordPress optimized hosting for a client and when the plugin is activated, I get the dreaded “HTTP error” when trying to upload an image. If I turn the plugin off, I can upload images without any problems, but obviously the images that I have assigned to custom taxonomies don’t display on the front-end while it is turned off.
