HTTP Error when uploading images in 4.1

  • I cannot upload images, but get “HTTP Error” message instead. I have changed themes to WordPress 2012 and 2015. Didn’t help. I deactivated all plugins – Didn’t help. Changed my browser – didn’t help. Changed the settings on the permalinks – didn’t help. Called the server (GoDaddy) and they say they are fine.

    Are there any suggestions to help here?

  • this happens sometimes when your hosting facing problem. this is not wordpress issue it is your hosting down or not responding

    Go Daddy tells me it is wordpress. They say they don’t have this problem with anyone else. I don’t know what to do. I will call them again.This is getting old. Too many hours spent on this. Thanks for your imput.

    I was having this problem just this morning and spent a few hours trying the various solutions found on forums.
    I finally solved the problem in my case (I think!). I have WP Super Cache installed and, although I’ve never had to do this it in the past, I tired deleting all cache files via the plugin and ever since I’ve had no problems with uploading files. I’m no longer get the http error.
    Hope this is helpful to someone else.
