• I continually get an http error when uploading an image to the media library if I am editing a page but not if I do it directly from the image library. For example, I am editing a page, and go to insert an image that is not in the image library already, so I try to upload it instead. That’s when the http error shows up.

Even after that happens, if I go to the media library, it is in there, but I can’t access it from the page editor unless I refresh the page.

I get no errors when uploading an image directly from the image library.

I talked to my host and they were not sure.

    Ideas?

  • This is commonly caused by an over-aggressive configuration of your server’s mod_security module. Try asking your hosts about it.

Thanks for your help. I asked my host about it and they said they can’t edit the mod_security module because it’s a share server. I now have a ticket into my theme support (Avada) to see if they think I need to switch hosting accounts because I’ve also noticed that some of their php requirements are not being met with the hosting account I have.

If you have any other thoughts, let me know.

    Thanks,

    Jenn
