    Hello,
in the Column “Type” it says “HTTP”.
I guess thats the way the Cookie is delivered?!
Isnt there a rule/law that says that everything should be delivered via HTPPS?

If yes – can i influence that?

    Kind regards
    Werner

  • Hello Werner.

Our scanner only supports using https domains.

Cookies can come from any place, even http domains. So the cookies found on your domain, relate to a http domain. You can remove the URL or script that is setting this cookie to influence it.

“Our scanner only supports using https domains.”
    What does that mean exactly?

What happens if a script sets a cookie from HTTP? Does your scanner recognizes that Cookie?

It recognizes any cookie on the website.

The source is regardless if it is http or https, it is still found by the scanner.

Our scanner will only scan websites that are added with a https certificate to Cookiebot.
