    Hi
I’ve used this plugin before with no problems, I’m now trying to use it with TwentyThirteen and wordpress 3.9.1 and I can’t get it to work. I get this message on the edit page
“HTTP requests using wp_remote_get do not seem to work. This means the blocks cannot be initialized automatically. You can turn off HTTP requests altogether on the options page and manually update your blocks.” so I turned off the HTTP request in the settings and multiple content blocks disappeared completely from the edit page. Sorry I’m not too technical what should I do to get this to work?
    Many Thanks

    Hi Pepperstreetuk,

When you disabled HTTP requests, did you manually visit the page that should have a block in the front-end?

MCB registers the blocks when visiting the page. Normally this is done automatically, but when the HTTP request fails you have to do this manually.

I ma having the same issue where HTTP requests isn’t working. I have turned it off, but its not a server issue since it was working before. We upgraded to WordPress 4 and it seems to have stopped working. Any insights on that would be helpful thanks! We have few other wordpress installs on the same box using wordpress 4 and multiple content blocks and they seem to be working fine.

I’m not sure actually, I didn’t have problems with the migration from our websites to WordPress 4. Maybe it’s a combination of the server and new WP, but I really can’t say in this specific case.

In case you figure out more, please let me know ??

I really need help to create new content block. I have installed the Multiple content blocks plugin with WordPress 4.0. A menu ‘Multiple content blocks’ added under Settings. It’s showing following options with checkbox:

    Disable HTTP Requests
    Show inactive blocks

Really didn’t understand from where I will be able to add new content block so that it can be placed in my theme by ‘<?php the_block(‘my block’); ?>’.

Could you help me to add new content block?

    Hi Parthad,

You have to place the code in your theme yourself. Here are some resources on how you could do that:

Please open a new topic if you have additional questions, since it’s irrelevant to this one.
