• So I spent quite a bit of time and 20 pages of Google search results looking for the best answer for how to do a WordPress https installation. Most say to use the WordPress HTTPS (SSL) plugin, but that’s not been updated for awhile and I hate to rely on a third party plugin for something which seems so basic for so many WP sites.

We’re developing a online learning site, locally, and plan to go live in the Spring.
We’ve got an SSL and dedicated IP (via SiteGround goGeek). We want the entire site under https, in part so as to not have to manage both it and http. I know that it may slow things down a bit.

    Anyway, what’s the best approach?
    Follow this: https://make.www.ads-software.com/support/user-manual/web-publishing/https-for-wordpress/?

Or use the WordPress HTTPS (SSL) plugin and brave the WP 4.01 issues as well as any which may appear in the future?

At BlueHost, you would simply install that at cPanel and go to work. So, I would suggest checking with your host before doing anything else.

Hello, I have the same problem and I can’t install the https with wordpress. The host make trouble when I log in.
    Is there any solutions ?
    Best regards
