• My first try at installing https went bad…
All is fine on the server side and it looks fine, but using https seems to disable some javascript.

Add new post is completelly without buttons or menu for formatting.
Any plugin that has js options wont run (browse and upload stuff, select menus).
Star ratings and other stuff wont work.
My custom theme wont show properly on https.

Is this normal or what are the steps to fix it?

  • I would begin by deactivating all plugins. See if you can get just your theme using the https. Once that works properly, go back and begin re-activating your plugins, checking to see if they work properly using the https.

You’ll also need to make a couple adjustments to the WordPress admin options (like your site url and home url). This Codex Page contains the information you need.
