• Hello .

    I cloned an https site using backupbuddy and transferred it to a subdomain .

    The problem is when I add items to and go checkout there is a notice regarding the privacy connection .

    After accepting to enter , There is no items on cart .

    Any suggestions ?

  • SSLs don’t necessarily also apply to subdomains. You either need a wildcard certificate, that will apply to all subdomains, a multi domain certificate, or a separate certificate for each site. You’ll probably need to talk to your host about this. Or whoever set up your original SSL.

    If the clone the site again ( subdomain level ) and overwrite the original domain ( delete and migrate through backupbuddy ) will the error go away ?

    I just want to confirm before I do the transfer .

    The error is that your SSL is not valid for subdomains, so that error will not appear on the main domain regardless of what is on it.
