HTTPS timeout when loading "disquscdn.com"

I’m using this plugin with a secure connection (i.e. https) domain and I am getting server timeouts on this URL and others – https://a.disquscdn.com/next/embed/styles/loading.8023a7350e47171f7bb79707886cd7c5.css
Any idea how to fix this?
