thanks bdbrown I’m almost there with my site but I can’t seem to reduce the line height in my post display.. I’m using the pro version of content views plugin but I’m unsure if this inherits the themes line height or not.. Any suggestions? Would like the post title, date and content a lot tighter to get rid of white space – more obvious in mobile view: https://www.yourcouncil2.eclektik.co.uk

Argh, I’ve just checked the site on my iphone and the responsive nav menu displays side by side as a result of adding the following code:

/* override the bootstrap.min.css styles being applied by IE */
.nav > li {
display: inline-block !important;
}
.nav > li > a {
padding: 15px 14px !important;
}

Any thoughts?

From what I can tell the plugin sets it’s own line heights, margins and padding in the plugin css file. It also uses the !important rule in many styles so, other than editing the plugin css, you may find it difficult to override those styles. You might post your question on the plugin support forum and see if anyone there has any ideas. Off the top of my head I don’t have any specific ideas on how to fix the menus in IE8.
