Huge banner add on my admin page

    When visiting my site I suddenly had a huge black friday banner add across the top of my admin page. It was like one of those old flash ads when you shoot the bird or something. I thought my site was hacked at first, then I realized it was for Yoast. I’ve never seen anything like this from a plugin! It wasn’t just on the plugin settings page, it was across the top of my entire admin page. I didn’t even know plugins had permissions for this type of thing. Please never do this again.

    Thanks for your comment.

    We understand that the Black Friday banner was annoying. Although it was dismissable, it was a bit buggy so we listened to our community and yesterday we publicly apologized for any inconvenience this may have caused to our users (link to Twitter) and released Yoast SEO v12.6.2 which completely removes the banner from the admin panel.
