Huge bug: Plugin destroys article photos!

    Sorry, but I really have to warn from this plugin as there seems to be a very annoying bug right now:
    As soon as I activated the plugin, I wasn’t able to choose the artile photo anymore. (I’m not sure if “article photo” is the correct translation. I don’t use wordpress in English.)
    But not only that: The plugin destroyed all attached article photos! So now, I’m sitting here, using the facebook object debugger to reallocate the article photos to more than 100 articles. That sucks and that’s why I feel like I have to warn and ask the developer of this plugin to solve this extreme issue. It’ll cost me a whole lot of time…

    One more thing: It’s only destroying the images when you want to share them via facebook e.g.
    The thumbnails on my blog itself still work.

    Hi there Kenika,

    it seems very unlikely that comment attachment would destroy all your images ?? – as it has been pointed out to me, there was a bug removing the “Featured Image” metabox from some wordpress installations. Thus hiding this from your sight, this should be fine in new version.

    Also, it’s only destroying the images when you want to share them?

    I don’t recall Comment Attachment having any social sharing functionality. If the plugin is colliding with some other plugin – you shouldn’t use it, deactivating either one them in collison.

    Thanks for your reply. I guess you’re right and it has to be colliding with any other plugin.
    It’s anyway strange what happened to the pictures when I wanted to share the posts.

    And yes: the metabox disappeared. I’ll give your new version a try after I made a backup from my blog.

    No worries, hope everything turns out fine. If not, just deactivate plugins that are causing the problem – even mine – and try to find non-colliding solution, meaning, different plugin ??

    As I said in a different thread, I had some experimental code in that I forgot to remove that caused the featured image metabox to be removed and possibly some other stuff ??
