Huge bug: posts truncated ar first non ASCII character

  • Hi all,

    I installed and tried to use WordPress 2.7.1 English version on Linux.
    I could not complete a single posting however.

    The title as well as the body of the post is truncated at the first quote or accentuated character. I tried to write on both visual and HTML tabs.

    I guess this is just another unicode vs ISO-8859 issue

    I would appreciate to get some hint, otherwise I will just install another blog software. WordPress looks fine however and I would like to keep it.

  • The WordPress default is UTF-8. I use the WordPress 2.7.1 English version just fine on a Linux web host.

    Thanks for your answer.

    I still use a default of en_US.iso885915 for various reasons, but have no particular problem with any other utf-8 app.
