Hi,

I’ve recently changed my wordpress theme and I’ve noticed that in IE9 the fonts in my sidebar menus are HUGE!

Fine in all other browsers….what can I do??

My site is https://www.unwindyarnhouse.com I’m using the emptiness theme.

I’m using the emptiness theme and there doesn’t seem to be any </head> in the header.php

You can post the header.php code here, https://pastebin.com/ and then put the link here. I’ll fix it and repost on pastebin. On the other hand, pauldewouters is a wp consultant and I am just a user so you might want to go his route.

Make a copy of your header.php. Call it oldheader.php or whatever.
Try this, https://pastebin.com/1Nd7hSxZ as your new header.php

I not sure we have the right file. It is normally in your themes folder and would have information like this in it,

Ok–I did that. I went to my other computer that is running IE8 and I haven’t seen any improvements yet. I still have huge font in the menus. but would it take a little while before the changes were visible?

Nope. Wrong file. Go back to the original header.php.

I downloaded your theme. It should go in the index.php file. Open that and add the code just after <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="<?php bloginfo('html_type'); ?>; charset=<?php bloginfo('charset'); ?>" />

k–I did that. Still huge font in IE8.
