• Hello,

Please check the screenshot at https://prnt.sc/6Qsn9Lf_nLDK

It is 22 G, so, is there anyway to limit the size even it is a free plugin.

For non-technicals, it seems quite easy to exhaust the server’s hard disk storage, right?

    Thanks

The plugin cannot automatically clear or rotate the log file, but there are a couple of features that could help with this issue:

    • You can clear the file by clicking the “Clear Log” button that should show up at the bottom of the dashboard widget.
    • You can configure the plugin to notify you when the log file exceeds a certain size (so that you can clear it if necessary). To do that, go to the widget configuration screen and enable this option: “Send an email notification when the log file size exceeds this limit”. Enter the limit in megabytes (e.g. 1024) and save the changes.

    Oh, that is great, thanks.

However, you know most WordPress users are not with coding or technical background, so, limiting the log entries size might be a quite safe way, and hope you can take it as a feature request.

Thanks, and have a great day:)

    Thank you for the feedback!

Just to clarify, while this is a real issue, it may not be possible to solve it in the specific way you suggested due to technical reasons. Most of the logging is done by PHP itself, not the plugin, so the plugin doesn’t control the size of log entries. (That mainly applies to the free version. The Pro version does actually write some additional data to the log file.) Regularly clearing the log is probably a more practical solution.

Oh, great! Yes, that would be great if it works in this way.

    Thanks
