• My website is generating a very large number of cache files, located in wp-content-cache/object

This is causing me issue with the hosting provider. I’m not sure what I need to do to stop this as I have deactivated my caching plugins. Host says its something with the site.

  • This directory is not part of WordPress. It is probably created by a plugin you are using. If you already suspect a caching plugin and have deactivated it, you probably just need to delete the directory via FTP.

If files are still being created in this directory, another plugin you are using is to blame. In this case, deactivate all the plugins you currently have and check them individually.

I’ve tried deleting the files and deactivating all plugins. I made a typo on the original post. It’s actually wp-content/cache/object

The directory must also be created by one of the plugins you are using. Did deleting and deactivating the plugins have any effect?
