huge problems with multisite if first blog is in sub-directory

    this problem additionally triggers very high cpu-usage and slow blog-responses (>10s)

    I did notice that you created several posts and replied to some of those.

    I would have looked but, in the six topics and/or replies I found, I could not find a URL to your site. I was curious about your plugins lineup and the host you were on.

    If I was seeing those issues on my own sites I would probably step up my hosting account to the next level. I would probably have already moved my database off to another server.

    There’s only so much to be done with tweaks and plugins and when you get behind in garbage collection and log rotations your system then runs into other issues such as updating internal flags and such or trimming some of the housekeeping detritus as they become stale.

    Sometimes you need to find some extra horsepower and maneuvering room.
