    Hi,

I have the issue as described in the title :

Huge SEO Issue: You’re blocking access to robots.

I have checked if the box is unselected under

reading >discourage search engines to index this site.

    Also my robots.txt is

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /wp-admin/

My site is also indexed by Google.

What can I do to find out why Yoast is showing this message ? I found a similar thread and followed all instructions there, but no luck. I also cleared all cache.

    Thanks

    Hi @mjpromotions

Thanks for using Yoast SEO plugin. We understand that you notice the message “Huge SEO Issue: You’re blocking access to robots.” within the Yoast SEO Dashboard.

As the “Discourage search engines to index this site” is unchecked. Can you please confirm that you are using the latest version of the Yoast SEO plugin, 20.5? If you are using the latest version, we recommend you to reset the notifications by following the steps:

    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on ”Reset Notifications“, see the screenshot for your reference: https://ibb.co/QY6ZMxC.

Once after that, kindly please clear your cache from your caching plugins, server, CDN like Cloudflare, and your browser. If you are not sure how to clear the cache from your caching plugin, please contact the plugin developer. If you’d like to clear the cache from your server, please speak to your host provider. To clear the cache from your browser, use this guide:?https://yoast.com/help/how-to-clear-my-browsers-cache/

You may also need to deactivate and reactivate the Yoast SEO Premium plugin.

    Does the issue resolve?

Thanks for the screenshot. Please ensure that you are running Yoast SEO 20.7 and WordPress 6.2.

Next, temporarily deactivate the Yoast SEO plugin, clear your cache again, and then reactivate, and then check if the notification message still appears.

Hi Maybellyne. This is fixed now. I did as you suggested, cleared cache in WordPress admin, but also in hosting environment SiteGround.

Thanks a lot for your help
