Hugely Buggy

  • I get far too many conflicts with other plugins, including Event Manager, Buddy Press and CiviCRM. Most of the bugs come from the usage of ob_start();
    I contact NextGen team about this but didn’t get a response.
    I’ve downgraded to the version legacy version and life is back to normal.

    @ianbryce – We respond to every Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) we receive … and I am not seeing any recently created new Support topics under your username.

    We would be happy to try to address any concerns created by NextGEN Gallery especially since we are not aware of any unaddressed issues with Buddy Press. I cannot accurately speak to “Event Manager” as there are many plugins with that name, and I am not familiar with CiviCRM (is this a plugin too?).

    Please feel free to start a new topic in the Support forums or send us a Bug Report (referencing this review may help) and we will do what we can to try to help you sort out the issues you are seeing.

    ianbryce – Just following up on some old reviews.

    Sounds like most of these issues are related to our major overhaul in version 2.0. At this point, most of those issues – including most plugin conflicts – have been long addressed.

    I’m not sure if you’ve tried one of the recent versions lately, but given the current performance of the plugin, a one-star rating seems a bit harsh, and we’re wondering if you might consider revising your rating?
