For some reason, I can not save any Thrive Pages anymore.
Not even if I create new ones.

What do I have to undo or change within the Hummingbird Settings to fix that problem?

Here is the Video that shows the problem:

    Thank you so much!

  • Hi @kreativito,

Was it working before? Did it stop working after a recent HB or Thrive update? Could you please specify the version of Thrive you are using, so I can test?

    Best regards,
    Anton

I am using the latest version form Thrive.
I am using Thrive on many other domains.

Thrive is working fine everywhere else.
It happened after I installed Hummingbird.

Cry… even after de-activating hummingbird Thrive doesn’t save anymore.
Any idea what I can do?

If I re-install Thrive… will I lose all my current pages and settings?

    @kreativito,

If you deactivate HB, it reverts all the settings, so all should work fine. Please try clearing the browser cache. Also check the browser console for errors.

I did everything you said, but it’s not working anymore.

    I deactivated HB.
    I cleared the page cache.
    I cleared the browser cache.

    No luck

by the way.. how to turn off gzip compression?
I can’t find any option to deactivate!

I also tried it at two other domains I was using HB with Thrive.
    It is the same issue.

I just deleted HB completely from the Plugins.
But Thrive can not save anymore any pages.

That’s huge… please please please run your own tests and help me fix this critical issue.

I can not not use Thrive anymore. HB must have something changed.. I have no clue.
But it caused this crazy conflict.

Maybe you also want to contact Thrive and their developers…

I figured it out – I figured out the issue. OMG.

First of all.. this issue was not caused by Hummingbird.
I am so sorry for this trouble.

Another plugin called Self-Hosted Google Fonts from asadkn caused Thrive to stall.

Thank you so much for your help and I hope it will be helpful for other people running into the same issue.

I love Hummingbird – always did!

    @kreativito,

Sorry for not replying sooner. Glad that you got it figured out. We’ve run multiple tests with Hummingbird, and the awesome part about it – even if something breaks, disabling the plugin will revert back all the changes.

Regarding disabling gzip compression. If it’s enabled on the server, HB won’t be able to modify server configs. But if the activation was done by Hummingbird, and coded was added to the .htaccess file, the action is reversible. You should see a button on the bottom of the Gzip module to do just that.

I will mark this as resolved. If you have any more questions, feel free to reopen this thread or create a new one.

    Best regards,
    Anton
