This is not a WordPress issue, but I can’t seem to resolve it anywhere else, and it’s making my wordpress re-install a distant dream:

I can’t log in to PLESK. Have turned my Kasperksy firewall off, have then turned my Windows firewall off, have changed browser. No luck. Anyone know how to circumvent this basic hurdle?

    Thanks,

    Charlotte

Try contacting your web host’s support.

Oh, I did. They say it’s not them. They’ve never lied to me before.

What kind of errors are you getting?

That is item two on the phone support/help-desk conversation script. Right after “How can I help you?” Even though it may prove to be true in this case. But if so, that leaves only one logical conclusion. User error. And that’s never good! ??

First. Clear the cache in your browser. Passwords and form data included, if you save them for automatically logging in. If that fails, you need to confirm account name and password validity (caps lock on by accident?). If that is correct and you still can’t log in, Try another computer. Failing that, contact your host again, detail that you have tried everything listed above, and ask if they can reset your password for you, or at least confirm or deny your current login name and password works for them.
