Hustle 6.0 changed code and broke my sites
-
After upgrading Hustle to 6.0 on several production websites, I found out, some time later, that the code for all elements had changed, effectively invalidating any customizations made to the various plugin instances.
Not only did devs completely change the code (including CSS IDs and classes), but also the shortcodes.
So my clients were left with 10 websites displaying skewed floating sharing buttons on mobile because my CSS no longer worked as intended, and also with pages displaying plain text old Hustle shortcodes that don’t work anymore either.
You devs might have had your reasons for rewriting the plugin code, but you should have at least warned users before the update that it was going to break sites. Or even better, you should have provided a seamless migration path or backwards compatibility.
Extremely unprofessional. Not only you lost your own reputation here, but you damaged your clients’ reputations as well.
One star till professionalism is proven again somehow.
