Hyperlink in content

    Today I installed WP 4.2 and noticed that making a hyperlink in the content of a page results in a slightly different procedure. With the former version of WP I was able to specify the link-text myself (resulting in a ′text pop-up` at a mouse-over), while in the WP 2.4 version this seems not possible.

    Is there a way by which I am still able to specify a link-text myself (an alternate text, as used with ′external linking`)?
