    Hello,

First of all. We really appreciate Tablepress, it makes the work we use it for much easier.

We run into a situation where hyperlinks in a table redirects. We know why it’s redirecting but we would like to know if there is a way to get rid of this?

We use Google Spreadsheet, and auto import this into Tablepress. In Google Spreadsheet we use hyperlinks and Google uses redirects in order to check the link on malware etc. But we use hyperlinks which link within our own site there is no need for this. Is there a way to stop this and link directly within the workflow we have (making tables in Google Spreadsheet and auto import it to Tablepress)?

With the provided link you will see one link in a table which redirects.

    With regards,

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Just so that I understand: Do you mean those https://www.google.com/url?q= being prepended to your URLs? That’s indeed a bit odd. How exactly are you importing these tables from Google Spreadsheets? Are you using the publicly shared CSV URLs? These should not contain the extra redirect.

    Tobias

    Hi,

    Yes, indeed the https://www.google.com/url?q=

We use publicly shared HTML format URL. Or is it better to use CVS to avoid the redirects?

    Hi,

yes, I would suggest to use the CSV format then, as this should normally give you the raw/original table data. However, the CSV format does not include the clickable links, so you would either have to type those as HTML code in the Google Sheet or create them with JavaScript (from the URL and link text information).

You could maybe also try the direct XLSX format, from which TablePress can retrieve the clickable links.

Finally, using the HTML format could work if you then add post-processing, e.g. by doing search/replace in a filter hook to get rid of the extra redirect URLs.

    Regards,
    Tobias
