  • That looks like a plugin. Have you tried reinstalling the plugin (via FTP) to replace the file you deleted?

I haven’t tried it yet, the thing is that, i deleted all the files saved on the Miwoftp plugin. immediately i deleted it, i started getting this message

    Not Found

The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

i can’t even login into the dashboard.. but i have access to the cpanel.

It sounds like you’ve deleted more than just the plugin. If you have a way to copy files to your server, perhaps via FTP, I would try:

    1. Download the version of WordPress you were using. If you weren’t using the latest version, don’t grab the latest version.

    2. Unzip the files and upload them to your server. I’m assuming you haven’t modified any core files as this will overwrite your changes. Also don’t upload the default themes if you’re using the default WordPress themes and have modified them.

    Hello Marios,
I’m using the latest version of WordPress.
Do you suggest I do the above steps through my Cpanel?
also, i haven’t modified any files, and the name of theme is called Quill.

    really appreciate your response.

It doesn’t matter so much how you upload the files. Whether you have access to a file manager via your host’s CPanel or you use FTP both it should be fine. I’m suggesting uploading the files vs. trying to use an automated installer to avoid any complications.

If you want to try and figure out exactly what happened, you could look at the files/folders in your WordPress folder and compare them to the download from www.ads-software.com to see which files/folders are missing. But if you just want to try and fix the problem, you can skip this comparison step.
