  • Q1. to whom i need to pay for installation, WORDPRESS or HIOXINDIA.COM (which is my host)

A1. Since you have already purchased a webhost that is providing WordPress then in my opinion you shouldn’t have to pay anyone. For example in my case my webhost is HostGator and they provide WordPress which I simply install by using Softaculous installing tool provided by HostGator.

Q2. Whether Installation would work for my website glocotchemicals.com

A2. I don’t quite understand this question. Based on my understanding, your website if it is currently not in WordPress will first have to be created in WordPress for which first WordPress will have to be installed on your web host.

Q3. I am not a designer, dont know codes, so for installing WordPress is it necessary to know codes,If yes then which code language.

A3. Installing WordPress does not require any coding. You could take help of your hosting provider if installing or your host. Also you should read the following page for more information:

Q4. I have a designer, but i want to reduce my depandancy over him…so after installation WordPress into glocotchemicals.com, can i change the content my self like in previous days when i was working on wordpress.com,
can i change content & add pics, Add metatags?

A4. Yes. You should be able to do that via the CMS. But before you do that you need to change your HTML website into WordPress website.

Q5- I do not want to change the look of my website, is wordpress installation effect my own templete and design

A5. A fresh install of WordPress will not just magically show you your website even if it is on the same domain. I took a brief look at your website and it looks like you may need to create a theme to make it exactly look the way it does. For this you will need to know some coding and I would suggest it would be easier and worth the investment to find a theme developer.

If you do not want to use a theme developer is to learn developing a theme by yourself which involves HTML and CSS.

Another option would be to give your website a brand new look and feel by selecting free or not too expensive themes available for download. These themes are customisable and do not need a lot of coding experience.

Additionally, take a look at a previous thread with similar issue:

Hope I could answer most of your questions.

    Hello @nnic82,

A1. You should not need to pay anyone for installation of WordPress. This is the WordPress Installation Guide.

A2. I think WordPress would be a good CMS (Content Management System) for your website. You have a HTML site which you can convert to WordPress if you would like by reading this HTML to WordPress Forum Posts.

A3. No coding needed to install or manage your site.

A4. Using WordPress for your website will be a smooth transition. It will be the same like in previous days of working with WordPress. Depending on the Theme you choose and some updates since you lasted used WordPress, the learning curve with be minimal.

A5. WordPress is the CMS, you then can choose any Theme to be the look (style) of your website. This is a good place to start to look at Themes.

If you need clarification or more assistance just ask.

    All the best,
    John

Thanks to tsure, thanks john! sorry for late reply, I worked on the direction as you said and now its successful, My current problem is Free themes, most of themes here are not totally free, Under some circumstances one of my client do not want to invest more in this, He needs a magazine theme but all are pais and i am in search of a place from where i can get totally free theme that can be customized fully, i am giving one example here mindguruindia.com ,in this website jarida theme is used. this is the example only he wants a website like this, not an issue if you would suggest any different look of website but it need to be free as per my client’s need,

    Hi nnic82,

There are plenty of free magazine themes. Twenty Fourteen by WP is the first that comes to mind.

When you are in your control panel – goto – Appearance – Themes – Add New

Here you can search magazine themes. I would suggest responsive magazine as a search.

In YouTube, there are many videos on how to customize themes such as Twenty Fourteen.

    All the Best!
    John
