    I also have some questions such as:

    • Is there an effect on Google Search Console to shorten links when using the NO FOLLOW feature?
    • When Pretty Links is deleted for any reason in the future, will the links that were shortened through Pretty Links be opened or will it give an error?
    • Does the large number of shortened links affect the speed of the site or the space of the database?

    1. Google doesn’t really obey the “NOFOLLOW” directive any longer as it was heavily abused. However, they claim it is used as a “signal” still.
    2. If you delete a link or disable the plugin, then the link(s) would 404 (not found) afterwards.
    3. Large link sets (10’s of thousands of links or more) can certainly have an impact on database performance. But <10,000 on most shared hosts has minimal impact from what we’ve seen. But page caching can really help if you do need larger link sets.
