    Hello,

I’m trying to change my theme to Twenty Twenty Four but every time I activate it, it shows the default front page and content. I just want it to show the posts like a simple blog. I have the settings in the reading section set to “show latest posts” but when I activate the theme it still shows the front page with web content. I’m just trying to match my current theme but can’t seem to have this theme do a simple blog version that only shows posts.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @dwhswebhosting,

I totally understand what you mean. Twenty Twenty Four is a bit different, in that the Front Page (which is used to show posts on most themes) does have a different layout.

The good news is the site comes with an alternative ‘Writer’ layout for the front page which does highlight the blog posts in the way you mentioned.

You can follow these instructions to give that a go

Thanks, I tried that but it’s just a mess. The hero image is blurry, the text on the first post doesn’t match the other posts, and the width doesn’t match the page. This was after 15-20 minutes of trying to figure out how to modify a single page lol. Maybe the next version won’t be so weird and filled with junk that isn’t needed. Fingers crossed. I always wonder why WordPress can’t just do a normal full-page theme for blogging and websites still, it seems they always try to do something weirder and weirder when what everyone needs is so simple.

    Thanks for helping!
