I am an author and i cannot post

    Hi i am the admin and i set up a test account and set them up as author. I set the default value as author, i set allow new comments. And i set the comments in the screen options.

    But no matter what i do i cannot find a link that lets me go to a post form page to create a new post.

    i have even tried to do the link manaully

    sitename/wp-admin/post-new.php and it still will not let me do anything, it says page not found

    when i try to comment on something it says comments are close.

    i am not sure what the deal is here.

    any help will be appreciated thanks.

    well so far i have figured out that when i am logged in as an author i do not see my dashboard or a link to my dashboard anywhere. So that i guess is the big problem.

    I also tried the other three default themes and no dashboard for author on any of them.

    i found out it has something to do with this plugin

    when i deactivate it, the dashboard comes back for my author account.
