• Steps to reproduce:

I was working on my WordPress Blog when I tried to save my work I keep getting this message from Firefox and Chrome:

    408 Request Time-out
Your browser didn’t send a complete request in time.

Because of that I lost my work and it’s frustrating to work. I can’t update my plugins or change plugin settings.
Few days back it was working fine but suddenly it started giving problem.

    Actual results:

    408 Request Time-out
Your browser didn’t send a complete request in time.

Above error I get on following pages:
    https://mobiviki.com/wp-admin/customize.php?
    https://mobiviki.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=ad-inserter.php

Sometimes even pages doesn’t render accurately when customizing theme.

I want to point out that main/live page of my website works fine.

Any idea, how can resolve this error?

  • Mobiviki,
Sounds like it might be an issue with you connection. In the past I would write posts in a text editor (notepad, word, or similar app) and copy and paste the content into the WP page editor or where I want to see it. This gave me an opportunity to prod read first and kept my connection from timing out before I was done with it.
I’d try relishing my Firefox browser or even re-starting my machine just in case before resuming posts.
    Hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply, but I’m getting 1.5MBps speed for internet and at the same time other sites works just fine while my dashboard keep on giving e above-said error.

Also, I want to mention that I was running my Dashboard in Incognito tab as in regular Chrome/Mozilla, I face this problem every time even after flushing DNS and Cache from server and PC. When I restarted my Incognito window and restarted it, the ?dd New Post” page is not giving that problem. But in the regular browser still, I’m getting that problem. Also, I can’t make changes on this page: https://mobiviki.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=ad-inserter.php, it ends up in abovesaid error.

Is there some problem with cookies because it seems my own website dashboard is killing itself after sometime. Some kind of poisonous cookies! lol.
